About Us
Turkish American Association of Connecticut (TACACT) is democratically elected Turkish American membership organization in the State of Connecticut. Established in 2025 to foster, promote, plan and execute programs aimed at improving the social, cultural, educational, economic and general welfare of the Turkish-American community in Connecticut, as well as in adjacent states. The Association will also help to improve understanding of Turkiye and the Turkish culture and heritage by promoting Turkiye and her secular democracy. As a non-faith-based organization, TACACT is open to people of diverse backgrounds. TACACT is governed by the Board of Directors with executive responsibility. TACACT is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that relies on membership dues and donations.

Executive Committee
The executive powers of the Association shall rest in the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. The Executive Committee shall consist of the following elected officers: President, Executive Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer, two executive members and the immediate past president, who had served in the previous term.
